High School Student

High school students enrolled in lab-based courses for university credit.

High School Students

Any high school student who has completed his or her sophomore year is eligible to enroll in Summer Session at UC Merced. Each student must complete and submit an application as well as a letter of recommendation from his or her principal or counselor.

Students who wish to take courses with prerequisites are advised to e-mail summersession@ucmerced.edu before registration in order to have prerequisite overrides placed (upper-division courses numbered 100-199 will require unofficial transcripts for verification).

Information regarding UC Merced Student ID#, UCM Net ID and LDAP passwords will be issued via email. Please allow a minimum of five business days to receive this e-mail. Once proper instruction has been received, visit MyRegistration to enroll in desired courses.

Application Deadlines:

  • Session A and D - May 6
  • Session B - June 3
  • Session C - June 17

Please keep in mind that fees will be due by May 13, 2024. If you register after May 13, 2024 fees for Session B AND Session C will be due on June 10, 2024.

Course fees can be paid at the Cashier's Office or online via MyBill.

Failure to pay fees on time may result in being dropped from your courses.
