Welcome to Summer Session at UC Merced!

Whether you're a continuing student, incoming first-year, visiting from another UC, high school student or a community individual - we're looking forward to seeing you on campus this summer in one or all three of our sessions. 

Below are a few highlighted requirements and key topics that will help prepare you for a productive and enjoyable summer with Summer Session @ UC Merced!

This checklist is for incoming visiting students, high school students, and community members

  • Activate your NetID
    After your application is processed, you will receive an email message with information regarding your NetID. You will receive xx email(s), one will provide your NetID, and the other message will contain your PIN-code and activation instructions. 
     
  • Provide proof of immunizations
    All incoming students are required to complete a TB Screening Questionnaire and provide proof of vaccination or immunity to Measles/Mumps/Rubella, Varicella (Chickenpox), Meningitis (under the age of 22) and Tetanus/Diptheria/Pertussis to comply with the UC Immunization Plan.
     
  • Provide your photo for the UC Merced Student ID card
    Your Student ID card - called the Cat Card - provides access to print on library printers, purchase books and goods from the campus store, purchase food at dining service locations. The Cat Card also offers many other benefits and opportunities for local savings. 
     
  • Provide payment before the deadline
    An invoice will be emailed to you upon registration. Fees and payment deadlines are listed here.
     
  • Register for your course(s)
    Once your application is processed, you will receive an email with directions on enrolling in your course(s).
