Fees and Cost
Please note that the following information reflects Summer Session 2013. Fees are subject to change.
Certain campus-based fees are subject to CPI increases and increases related to projects and programs. For purposes of these fee tables, CPI increases have been estimated. The amounts on the 2012-2013 fee pages represent fees as currently estimated. As a result of gubernatorial, legislative, Regental, and/or campus action, these fees may change without notice.

Application fee
$25.00 Non-refundable application fee for Non-UC Students
International Student Service Fee- $200.00 for non-immigrant visa holders F-1, H-4, and J-2. This fee is in addition to the $100 International Student Service Fee listed below.
International Student Visa Fee $100.00 for F-1 visas sponosered by UC Merced. Checks made payable to 'UC Regents' must be submitted to the International Center in the Kolligian Library room 101.
**Note: International students on UC Merced sponsored visas must show additional funding to satisfy student visa regulations. To see the cost of attending Summer Session for International Students, visit http://iss.ucmerced.edu/students/summer-session. Proof of financial support must be submitted to the International Student and Scholar Services office before a Form I-20 can be issued.
Late Registration/Late Payment Penalty
A $50 late registration or late payment penalty may be imposed for registrations or payments occurring after the registration and payment deadline dates listed in the 2013 Calendar, by 4:00pm.
Course Material Fees
Students may be charged fees in some courses for the use, rental or consumption of materials, tools or equipment, or for the costs of materials or services necessary to provide a special supplemental educational experience. For example, course materials fees may cover the cost of chemicals and glassware for a science laboratory or art supplies for a studio class. They also might cover film rentals, field trips or the purchase/rental of specific equipment.

Payment for summer needs to be received prior to the fee payment deadlines listed in the 2013 Calendar on this website to avoid the late payment penalty of $50.00.
