Summer Session welcomes incoming UC Merced first-year and transfer students!
If you are newly admitted to UC Merced for Fall 2017, you are eligible to enroll in Summer Session. Taking classes during the summer can help you get a jump start on your academic career!
Summer Session Application
Incoming UC Merced first-year and transfer students will need to complete and submit a brief application in order to enroll in Summer Session. Once this has been submitted, you will receive a confirmation e-mail within five business days with information regarding how to register.
- Session A and D - May 8, 2017
- Session B - June 5, 2017
- Session C - June 19, 2017
Summer Session Fees and Financial Aid
Keep in mind that fees will be due by May 15, 2017. If you enroll in classes after May 15, your fees for Session B AND Session C will be due by June 12, 2017. Fees can be paid at the Cashier's Office or online via the epay website.
Failure to pay fees on time may result in being dropped from your courses. More information on Summer Session fees can be found here.

Registering for Courses
As an incoming UC Merced student, you are encouraged to also meet with your academic advisor to discuss Summer Session (the name of your advisor will be included in your confirmation e-mail). Please note that if you are transferring to UC Merced from another college or university, it is best to consult with your advisor about applicability before registering.
Please visit the CatCard office (Kolligian Library, Room 111A) to have your picture taken and receive your CatCard.
