A NEW OPPORTUNITY
The first 50 students to sign-up and pay their reservation fee will not be assigned a roommate.
On-campus housing is available to all students registered in summer session courses at UC Merced. The first 50 students to apply and pay their $150 reservation fee will be assigned a spacious double-occupancy room to themselves (no roommate assigned). Apply and pay your reservation fee NOW!
Summer residents will be housed in the Valley Terraces, just steps away from the campus recreation center, library and classroom buildings. The Valley Terraces suites are designed to house students in nine two-story buildings. Each apartment-style suite, shared by four or six students, includes a living room, bathroom, and two or three double-occupancy rooms (two students sharing a bedroom). Remember, the first 50 students to sign-up and pay their reservation fee will get a room to themselves. Each bedroom comes equipped with a bed, extra-long twin mattress (80”), desk and chair, drawers, and closet space. The common living rooms are furnished with soft seating, a table and chairs. Cable TV, high-speed Ethernet ports, and wireless Internet are also available throughout the suites.
The residence halls are arranged around the Terrace Center – the heart of the residential community. In the Terrace Center you will find laundry facilities, the mailroom and housing office, a comfortable study lounge, a computer room, and the Den where residents can play ping-pong, pool, foosball, watch a large screen TV or just hang-out. Games and equipment are available for sign-out through the housing office. The Yablokoff-Wallace Dining Center is where residents will gather to enjoy restaurant-quality meals with friends.
The summer housing contract includes the room, dining plan*, housing association dues, all utilities, high-speed wireless Internet, cable TV, activities, and staff available to assist even with after hour emergencies. Telephone service is not included. You get all this convenience for $2,628. The contract period accommodates the eight week session and students registered for the shorter sessions are welcome to stay.
*The dining plan is sufficient for most residents, however some students may need to add additional funds to their CatCard dining plan, which will allow additional dining purchases to be tax free.
